24 years old Taiwanese artiste Cindy committed suicide in her apartment

Two days ago, 24 years old Taiwanese artiste Cindy (楊又穎) was discovered for committing suicide in her apartment in Taichung (台中) by her brother. The Taiwan media pointed that Cindy's diary mentioned about having work stress and was bullied before as well. Many Taiwanese artiste such as Rainie Yang (楊丞琳), Blackie Chen (陳建州), Christine Fan (范瑋琪) and Matilda Tao (陶晶瑩) left their messages on social networking website, and urged the society to look into Internet bullyism problem.

Yesterday on Weibo, Rainie left a long message: "Many people assumed that they did not need to bear any responsibility for their remarks on the Internet and some media started to use the words such as said by the netizens to write the news report or the hottest topic in town. It also showed the behaviours of the netizens...... Please understand that a young girl who is trying to pursue her dream has no ways to face the shadow of being accused and ended her life as a result. This is indeed heartbreaking."

Blackie and Christine also left a message relating to forbidding Internet bullyism on Weibo yesterday. Blackie said: "Word is very powerful and please use it intelligently. Two days ago on Facebook, Matilda Tao said: "Please remember your loved ones and not the people who mistreated you."
