Law Kar Ying (羅家英) discovered he had liver cancer and a 2cm tumour appeared last year. Recently, he undergone an operation to remove the tumour from his liver and in his blog, he expressed that the stitches will be taken out tomorrow and advised the elderly people to have medical check-up. With regards to his health, Kar Ying said "I am recovering well and it is necessary to have this surgery. Fortunately, I have medical check-up twice a year and the report in June shows I am healthy. Thus, I have no worries and continue working until the filming ends on 27 December 2013. Upon returning to Hong Kong for a medical check-up on 3 January 2014, I then discover there is a 2cm tumour from my left liver and undergo for an operation. It is very scary as it is painless and grows very quickly but I am considered lucky. Hence, it is important for the elderly people to go for medical check-up."
